‘Let’s Talk Books’-The Avid Reader (Meets 1st and 3rd Mondays 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
Not your typical book club, but an opportunity for people who ‘just love to read and talk about books’ regardless of their favorite genre. We’re talking avid readers here. We don’t all read a specific book but select a theme (i.e. World War I) for each meet and each member comes prepared to present a book they loved that fits the theme or plays the ‘wild card’ and presents and talks about a great book they’ve read and want to highly recommend to others even if it doesn’t fit the theme. (Books you’d consider at least an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.) A great way to encourage all of us to expand the genres we tend to read most, and have some great discussion. Group will be limited in number to what we can accommodate in meeting space, so if you’re interested in joining, email coordinator of the group new member Cameron-Ashley Heath from WA state to see where they stand on space available. 101heath@comcast.net.
