Our January Walkabout couldn't even entice the turkeys off the roof, but three of us humans enjoyed a brisk two mile in the Ponderosa Pines neighborhood followed by coffee and a snack at Crackin' and Stackin.'
There will be no Walkabout walk this month. We wish you very Happy Holidays and hope to see you in January, 2020!
Ladies, we won’t be having a Walkabout walk in October due to us leaders being out of town. Will post in November about our next venture. Please remember to always RSVP. Thank you! Terry Sheldon and Sharyn Close
The Walkabout group is cancelling our excursion to Lithia Park on Friday, August 23 at 8:00 a.m. We only had one lady who wanted to go, so we’re cancelling this time. Gentle reminder, please RSVP if you’re coming. Thanks, and hope to see you next month!
Just to put it out there, this month on Friday, August 23, we’ll be walking at Lithia Park in Ashland. Meet at the Walmart parking lot at 8:00 a.m. to carpool to Ashland. Breakfast/brunch afterward at a restaurant to be decided on. RSVPs requested, thank you!
Due to the heat of the summer, Sharyn and I have decided to change the meeting time to 8:00 a.m. for the next few Walkabouts. It will still be held on the 4th Friday of the month, no other changes. We will probably change it back to 9:00 a.m. in October.

We started from Sharyn’s house, walked around Arrowhead Drive and through Lucas Park,… Read More.
Eight of us went for a walk/sometimes hike at TouVelle Park, complete with a few dogs. We all enjoyed the warm but not too hot weather along the river, perfect for walking, chatting and exploring. Already looking forward to July!
Six of us carpooled into Jacksonville, parking in the lot next to the library. We enjoyed a leisurely walk up to the cemetery, which some of us had never seen. The rest of the walk was around the downtown area, stopping at the Mustard Seed for brunch, then shopping along the way back. We met… Read More.
Even though we met a day early (this month only!), there were 11 of us to participate. We met at Crackin & Stackin and set out exploring Echoes of the Ponderosa, a beautiful Eagle Point neighborhood just filled with dogwood trees, most of which were blooming proudly! We continued up to RT Jones, exploring little… Read More.
