Seven of us enjoyed the beautiful scenery and good company as we hiked about 5 miles round-trip to Boundary Springs. Starting at Crater Rim Viewpoint, we hiked along the Rogue River Trail in Crater Lake National Park. At Boundary Springs, there are actually three springs which come together to form the headwaters of the Rogue River. The water then rushes through a meadow of yellow monkeyflowers and tumbles over a 15-foot waterfall. After crossing the headwaters of the Rogue on a log without getting wet,we relaxed near the Springs while eating our sack lunches.
