The Piecemakers met to finish working on table runners that were started in November and to show their completed projects. We also discussed future projects. Half of the members expressed interest in starting new projects—placemats and seasonal table runners were mentioned and patterns will be distributed. The other half indicated a preference to work on unfinished projects. Both interests can be accommodated and members agreed that just by working together the group will provide support, information and an opportunity to learn from each other. Joan brought delicious cinnamon rolls that were enjoyed and appreciated by everyone.
The next meeting will be held on the second Wednesday—January 8th. The meeting will begin at 10:00 am but members can work past noon if they choose to do so. Linda will provide refreshments.
Following the meeting, the group joined the Knotty Ladies at Lydia’s home for a potluck and gift exchange. Good food and conversation was in abundant supply. The gift exchange was fun. Topping off the event was the opportunity to see up close Lydia’s beautiful quilts and the studio where she makes them.
