John & Ella have shared a dream come true life for over 50 years. Now in their 80’s Ella has terminal cancer and John has Alzheimer’s. Told with humor and affection they run away from Detroit to Disneyland in their ’78 Leisure Seeker. Their children are ignored because Ella has planned this trip down route 66 as John drives and situations make you laugh out loud. With their goal complete they write their own final chapter. It was an amazing discussion with our ladies on a subject we rarely have occasion to discuss.
