Following our participation in the Vintage Faire in May, the members of the Piecemakers decided to make a raffle quilt to help fund community education programs. The members quickly decided on a pattern and everyone contributed yellow and blue fabric. Each person made six or seven blocks, then brought them back to the next meeting to organize them into a quilt. Meeting a few extra times during the next month, the women quickly assembled the quilt and sent it off to the long-arm quilter. The quilt pattern is called “Yellow Brick Road” and the quilt was named “There’s No Place Like Home.” Raffle tickets will be sold at the August luncheon for $1.00/ticket or $5.00 for 6 tickets. The winning ticket will be selected at the luncheon.
