On December 2, 2014 seventeen members of the Ladies Outings group had a fantastic time touring the kitchens of Harry & David. We started out with a brunch at Debbie’s Diner. What a fantastic restaurant and great food. Some of us had never been there and it was such a treat! We then went to the Harry & David Country Store to purchase our tickets and do a little shopping before the tour. Between the $5 off coupon and the senior discount on that day, there were some bargains to be made.
The tour included the bakery and candy kitchen. We were able to see them make a large batch of Moose Munch – YUM!! But oh my, all that butter! We also saw the factory where the beautiful gift baskets are made. There are two sisters who work there that move so fast we could not believe it!
