Nine of our ladies enjoyed a wonderful tour of the Crater Rock Museum in Central Point. The tour included a slide show of the various types of rock, geodes, agates, thundereggs, minerals, fossils, petrified woods and more! What was really cool was how many were found in Oregon many right here in Jackson County! Our tour guide did a wonderful job explaining the history of the museum and how it just keeps growing & changing. If you have not been, we highly recommend it! We then had a wonderful lunch at The Point Pub & Grill in downtown Central Point. The building was built in 1889 and has quite a history. In 1937 the building was sold to W.E. Alexander (Ground Floor) and the Woodman’s Lodge (The Upper Floor). Alexander used the space to sell hardware and farm equipment. It remained a hardware store for decades later. The “Rostel” building now houses The Point Pub and Grill, it retains much of its over a hundred year old charm with original brick work and high ceilings.
