We had a fabulous turn out for this tour of Holly Theatre. Twenty five of us enjoyed seeing the renovation work being done to this historical building (built in 1930). The theatre was once a beautiful place to enjoy a movie. It had ornate woodworking, a highly decorated interior and a grand neon sign & marquee. It operated until 1986. The project will restore the Holly Theatre back to what it once was (but will include modern conveniences as well). When done, the theatre which once seated 1,200 will seat about 1,000. It will be used as a venue for live performances. As the renovation is being done, many discoveries are being made, including a connection to Eagle Point! After the tour we enjoyed a delicious Italian meal at Rosario’s. If you have not been on this tour, you will want to. It was amazing! A huge thank you to Susan Watson for planning this event and to Nancy Rose for her assistance while Susan & I traveled.
