Eleven members met at the home of Barbara Judy. This is the third novel by well known British broadcaster, Richard Madeley, who began his career in the Lake District during the hottest summer on record in England. This fact lends some authenticity to his writing. An excerpt from the publicity: "The summer of 1976 was unprecedented in living memory with days of blazing sunshine bled into weeks and months and the Lake District was no exception. People swan in delightfully tropical waters to cool off. But barely three feet below the surface, the temperature remained just a degree or so above freezing. As the summer blazed on, the drownings began. What if someone wanted to take revenge or remove an abusive, controlling partner from their life? When and where to better stage a murder and pass it off as an accidental drowning?"
