In spite of record snow in our area, all of the Knotty Ladies who were in town attended our first meeting of 2017 which was held at Carol Kato’s home. Dora will transfer the duties of the treasurer to Maxine at our February meeting.
Weather permitting, we will deliver our soldier quilt to the Veteran’s Administration in White City in February. Assorted donation quilts will also be delivered. The delivery date will be decided at the February meeting. Currently there are no plans to begin another soldier quilt. We will need to locate a long-arm quilter who will donate their time or set a very reasonable fee to make this project work for our small group.
If we are to continue to at least partially subsidize our donation quilts, we will need to keep our treasury in good shape. The EPWC Members Market seems to be one good opportunity to replenish our coffers. We are considering holding a raffle at the next Members Market. Our group is asked to bring ideas, fabrics, and patterns for raffle projects to the February meeting.
Show and Tell included photos, stories, and a lap quilt.
The Ladies will meet again on February 1 at Dora’s house.
