The Knotty Ladies met at Meridel’s house on March 1. We shared patterns for a casserole carry-all, a mini oven mitt, a pair of “gadgets” used to protect fingers from hot pot handles, and cat and dog toys. Guest Betsy modeled her ruffled fleece shoulder wrap for keeping cozy on a cold evening. The Internet has an abundance of free patterns and so do the Knotty Ladies.
Lydia showed us the two Christmas themed table runners that she is working on. Meridel is still in need of a great pattern for a rectangular quilt to be used as a lap robe. We are all encouraged to make small items that will sell for one dollar.
Former Knotty Lady Edith Carlson donated a generous quantity of fabrics, notions, and patterns that she no longer needs as she moves from Eagle Point to Bend. We all “shopped” for items we could use. What was left was sorted and donated to either GoodWill or to the Eagle Point Senior Center. Thank you, Edith, for sharing with us.
On April 5 the Knotty Ladies will meet at Linda Riddle’s home.
