The Knotty Ladies gathered at Linda Riddle’s home for our November meeting. Maxine sent a $5 refund for each member who attended the October EPWC luncheon where there was not enough food to feed everyone.
We reviewed our experience with the EPWC’s Members Market. We join other EPWC members in supporting the requirement that “The Club is accessible to any woman with an Eagle Point address.” We agree that non-members should not be permitted to sell their wares at our Members Market.
The December luncheon will be held at Applebees in Medford on Tuesday, December 5. We will leave Eagle Point via carpool at 11:00 that morning. Meridel will send an email a few days before to see who is able to attend and who is willing to be a driver.
Carol Kuehnert announced that she would like to become an emeritus member since she is no longer sewing or quilting. We will miss her kind support and expertise, and hope that she will visit us when she can.
The 2018 meeting calendar is a work in progress. We still have a couple of months that need a hostess. When the calendar is complete, it will be turned in to the Club.
Lydia shared a flyer from the Santa Rosa Quilters Guild. Many of their quilters lost everything in the recent fires. They are requesting donations of fabric so they can get started again. We Knotty Ladies will deliver our extra fabric and fat quarters to Lydia by Friday, November 10. Lydia will take the bundle when she travels to Vacaville that weekend. She will contact the Santa Rosa quilters to see if someone can pick it up in Vacaville. If not, Lydia will mail it from there. We will reimburse her for the postage from our treasury.
Our next meeting will be held at Applebees on December 5. It will be our annual holiday luncheon.
