“A woman’s life, always changing, accommodating, then shedding, old duties for new; one person’s expectations for another until finally, victoriously, emerging, strong, complete.”
Melanie Benjamin, The Aviator’s Wife
The book club met at the home of Susan Watson on March 14, 20018 to discuss The Aviator’s Wife by Melanie Benjamin. The book is a compelling historical novel of a shy woman, Ann Morrow, who marries the famous Charles Lindbergh. The book takes us behind the scenes of their lives. Some of us called it a love story and some called Charles “a jerk”. In the end, we all came to know, respect, and have new admiration for Ann Morrow.
