Sixteen members of the Theater Group celebrated Cinco de Mayo by attending Octavio Solis's play "Mother Road" at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The play was a well-imagined sequel to Steinbeck's "Grapes of Wrath," jumping into the 21st century life of the two remaining members of the Joad family–one an elderly farmer who did not migrate to California and the other, his heir, the Latino grandson of Tom Joad.
