The Knotty Ladies retreated to the Hedges cabin for their August meeting, work day, and potluck. Dora shared her project which was a quilted and piped cover for her sewing machine. Betty demonstrated how to make a reusable shopping bag that can be rolled up and stuck in a purse until needed. Several members worked on UFOs. Show and tell was our usual over-the-top presentation. Our newest member, Helen, gifted each of the quilters a beautiful cloth-covered monogrammed composition book. Way to go, Helen! The potluck lunch was outstanding – as usual. The weather was perfect for this busy, chatty group.
Our next meeting will be held on September 4 at Dora’s home.
