On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, we will be going on a Medford Walking Tour and dining at Habaneros Mexican Restaurant afterwards. There is room for a maximum of 25 attendees for this tour. Our tour guide is Ben Truwe, a local historian and Trustee of the Southern Oregon Historical Society.
The tour starts at 10:00 a.m. and it is 2 hours long. There are a couple of areas where we will be able to sit to rest a bit and there are two sets of stairs along the tour. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. We will do the tour, rain or shine. If there is a possibility of rain, wear appropriate clothing and bring an umbrella or poncho.
While the tour is free, an honorarium for Ben is appropriate. Ben is a volunteer and has a vast knowledge of Medford history. It is said that he brings history to life!
The tour begins at 10:00 a.m. so we will meet at Walmart at 9:15 a.m. to allow time for collecting the honorarium, organizing the drivers/riders, and driving/parking. If you are interested in attending, please email: emslate6@gmail.com
