The Knotty Ladies met at Helen’s home on October 2. The big news of the day was that our beautiful donation quilt is finished. The quilting was done by Grandma Mitchell and the binding was added by Dora. It will be delivered by Bonnie to an Eagle Point person who has been the victim of a fire.
Meridel will create a list of sewing and quilting projects for us to work on in our leisure. If you can add to this list or give details (address, contact person), or if you are willing to be our point person for any of these charities, please let Meridel know. An updated project list will be emailed to you this month. To date, we have the following volunteers: Maxine will continue to coordinate the baby quilts and she will be our point person for Redemption Ridge (Bonnie, Betty, and Helen will take part in that project).
In other business, Helen donated a Christmas themed comfort quilt, two sets of placemats for Food and Friends, and two travel tissue holders. The EPWC Piecemakers will join us for a potluck lunch on December 4 at Bonnie’s home. Bonnie is coordinating that event. Dora announced that she will be on hiatus until May since she has another commitment that sometimes meets on our regular meeting day. She will join us when she can. Show and Tell once again wowed everyone in the group. We admire, share, and steal ideas from each other.
Our next meeting will be at Maxine’s home on November 6.
