On November 6 the Knotty Ladies met at Maxine’s home. Old business included a discussion of our December potluck lunch which will be held at noon on December 4 with Bonnie as our hostess. We have invited the Piecemakers to join us for this event. Bonnie will send an email to organize the potluck. She will provide beverages and table settings, Carol will bring soup, and Meridel will bring cheese bread. Others can let Bonnie know when they decide what to bring.
In other old business we are asking members to volunteer as coordinators for the various charities that we support. So far our list is as follows: Maxine will coordinate projects for Asante (pediatrics) and Redemption Ridge. Helen will coordinate placemats for Food and Friends. We need a coordinator for the Children’s Advocacy Center and for any other charity that receives our donation items. If you need labels for your donation projects, see Maxine. She has a stack of labels that Betty made for us before she left for Arizona. Several of us should save Betty’s electronic file on our various computers so we don’t lose the master.
The 2020 calendar for meeting hostesses has been started. Please check the draft calendar below and let Meridel know if you need to change your date.
January 8 – Carol
February 5 – Maxine or Lynn
March 4 – Helen
April 1 – Meridel (of course we’ll do something foolish)
May 6 – Lydia
June – Shop Hop or other activity?
July – Dark
August 5 – Retreat?
September 2 – Betty
October 7 – Dora?
November 4 – Bonnie
December 2 – Maxine or Lynn
Karla Hanan, a new member to the EPWC, has put her name on our waiting list. We will invite Karla as a guest to our January meeting so she can get to know us.
The group admired stacks of beautifully quilted items scheduled for donation. Our members, especially Helen, have been very busy.
The Knotty Ladies will meet again on December 4 at Bonnie’s home.
