Couples Potluck and 3-13 was held on September 17 at the homes of Marilyn & Jack Westrum, Susan & Hans Smith and Paula & John Buckley. Catch up visits, good food and the lively 3-13 card game were shared by all. At the Westrums’ 3-13 low scores were: 51-Paul Erickson, 62-Lynn Tally, 67-Herb Swain, 71-Howard Tally, 97-Kathy Nabozny with a high score of 182-Paul Lingren. Over at the Smiths’ house Roger Nichols led low scores with 54 followed by Michelle Harter-64, Martin Frey-66, Doug Felker-74, Bruce Harter-79 and Charlie Allen posted the high with 210 points. At the Buckleys’ we celebrated Mike Smith’s birthday with a yummy carrot cake made by Sandi. Bruce Lemmerman posted the low score of 3-13 with 41 points then Mike Smith with 59, Dianne Sproat with 78, Steve Howard with 83 and Sandi Smith’s 174 was the high. We have 2 months left of potluck and games this shortened year since we started in April. I will be asking for volunteer hostesses for 2023 in the comings months. Once a hostess volunteers their home, they are on the automatic draw list for the entire year. As of now we have 37 couples on the active list.
