2023’s last Couples 3-13 gatherings were held on November 18th at the homes of Teresa & Charlie Allen, Joyce & Paul Lingren and Diane & Bill Sproat. Good food, socializing, and laughter were enjoyed by all. It seemed to be couples’ night as both husbands and wives won at the card game! At the Allen’s house, Paul Erickson scored low with 27 points followed by Virginia Felker at 74 points, then Doug Felker with 75 points, Martin Frey at 99 points and Nancy Erickson with 101 points. Winners at the Sproats’ saw lots of low scores under 100 as Lonnie Lawson posted his lowest score ever with 23 points, followed by Aleli Lawson at 39 points, Don Brown had 43 points, Bruce Lemmerman scored 67 points and Brigitte Lemmerman and newbie Linda McElmurry split 5th spot with tie scores of 95. Vick WIttenbrock had the high score of 174. Over at the Lingrens, the ladies were the winners, with Marilyn Westrum leading at 38 points, then Kay Breithaupt with 45 points, Michelle Harter at 54 points, Karla Hanan with 64 points and Sandi Smith with 100 points. Mitch Hanan topped the scores with 264 points. Sign-ups for 2024 have started and the new Couples 3-13 Committee will be sharing hosting duties and other information for the new year in the coming weeks.
