Our troupe of playgoers hopped on the Orient Express with Ken Ludwig's adaptation of Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS at the Collaborative Theatre Project (CTP). The play was skillfully directed by Michael Jenkinson. The set direction and costumes (We loved the shoes!) were imaginative and transported us back to 1934, onboard a train stuck in a snow drift in Yugoslavia. The famous Belgium Inspector, Herule Poirot, played by Russel Lloyd, was tossed into a train mystery involving a murder (of course) and a group of unlikely multicultural suspects who seemed to be covering for each other. All the performers played their parts exceptionaly well, using the different accents of their character's country. My favorite was the sardonic Russian Princess Dragomiroff, who was played by the talented Priscilla Quinby.
I wish to thank the CTP and Susan Aversa for accommodating the 19 of us and making the ticket process effortless. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
