It was the Ides of March when thirteen of us hiked up the newly improved Upper Table Rock trail. The weather was just beautiful that day. At the beginning of the trail, a ranger pointed out to us a Hummingbird’s nest. Along the trail we heard a Bewick’s Wren song as he jumped from tree to tree. Each side of the trail was colored with Shooting star flowers. We had muddy boots but beautiful views. It was a hike that filled the senses with pure joy.
