Cathi Soreng and Virginia Felker co-hosted July's Culinary event with the theme 'small bites'. Many of the recipes were from the books Hors Doeuvres, Brilliant Bites and Perfect Party Bites. The idea was to have a collection of appetizer bites from beginnings to a sweet ending, perfect for a hot summer day.
Offerings for the appetizer beginnings were: carrot & ginger soup shooters (we toasted with those and prosecco glasses), Thai shrimp skewers, and chicken Waldorf salad bites. For the middle seated portion we had salmon & dill cakes, ginger orange pork skewers, chicken fajita bites and BLT salad bites. For the sweet endings we had coconut key lime bites and chocolate & almond raspberry cakes. A wonderful summer respite Nobody left hungry.
