July culinary was at the home of Virginia Felker and co-hosted by Cathi Soreng. Italian recipes were from the cookbook Piatti- plates and platters for sharing by Stacy Adimando. The tasty selection of dishes included: a roasted vegetable platter with fennel tzatziki, olive oil marinated goat cheese, nectarine, salami and arugula salad, potato salad with black figs, grilled bacon wrapped leeks, braised pork with orange peel, shrimp and savoy cabbage, olive oil cornmeal cake, and ended with roasted cherries with hazelnuts and grilled apricots with pistachio pesto. A real feast with friends afternoon. A big thanks to Virginia and Cathi for hosting and to Viki for organizing and recipe assignments.
