February has arrived and you know what that means….time to shop for the perfect Valentines' cards and gifts to show your loved ones just how much you love each one of them and February 14th. But. do you know what February 13th is? Popularized by the sitcom 'Parks and Recreation', February 13th is Galentines' Day, a day to celebrate your women friends.
When I first learned about Galentines' Day, I rolled my eyes and thought Hallmark had gone overboard. But, the more I've thought about it I've decided it makes perfect sense and here's why. The older I get, the more I treasure the amazing women friends I have in my life, most of whom I've met through the Eagle Point Womens' Club. We have fun together, we laugh together, we cry together, we support each other, we comfort each other. In other words,we are here for each other.
As you read this issue of the Blast, you'll learn about all the activities scheduled for February. I'll be looking forward to seeing each of you and greeting you with a hug and saying, "Happy Galentines' Day"❣️❣️
