As the saying goes….”In like a lion out like a lamb.” Given the relatively dry winter we’ve had so far, I suspect we’ll need our umbrellas and raincoats this month. But, we sure can use the rain.
For the first time in 20 years, on February 18th we held our luncheon in our own city of Eagle Point at Talon Grill. A huge “Thank you,” goes out to Mary Harper, our Luncheon Coordinator. Space was limited to 50 and we know many of you were unable to attend. Mary reported over 50 registrations were received in just 4 days and feedback from members who attended was overwhelmingly positive. With that in mind, your board is considering a larger venue in Eagle Point that can accommodate all members who want to attend the luncheons. So, stay tuned!
One of our activity groups has made a name change. What has been the Sunshine Group is now called Caring Connections, led by Jeanne Wallace. As the new name implies, we care for our members and can offer help when needed. If you know someone needing help with meals, transportation, shopping, or just some caring comfort, please let Jeanne know.
This edition of the Blast is filled with news about our many activity groups. Come join the fun! I hope to see you all soon and often!
