Our egg-stuffing crew has been busy, filling 800 eggs for the upcoming Eagle Point Easter Egg Hunt. Of those, 200 eggs are headed to Shady Cove. As part of the Eagle Point & Upper Rogue Chamber’s footprint, their event needed a boost this year, and the Chamber Board was glad to step in and help. No debate needed there.
This is the first-year plastic eggs will be part of the event. In the past, they took a more “open concept” approach, with candy generously sprinkled across the grass. This year, we’re upgrading to a mix of filled eggs and a little classic “lawn candy” to keep the tradition alive.
According to Edith Sherman, the “hunt” kicks off promptly at 11:00 a.m., when kids charge the field with Olympic-level focus, and wraps up at approximately 11:01. It’s fast, festive, and definitely worth watching.
