Not long after the Eagle Point Womens Club was established, an activity group of RV-ers (EPWC members and their spouses/partners) was formed. The group would camp for a long weekend once a month from April to October. One or two couples served as Wagon Masters, they’d find a place to stay, coordinate outings, meals and campground activities. The group camped up and down the Oregon coast, into Washington and Northern California. From crabbing in Coos Bay to fishing at Diamond Lake, enjoying Oktoberfest in Mt Angel to touring the Lake Shasta Caverns and sharing meals at campgrounds, plus much more, great times were had. The size of the group grew and shrunk as people moved in and out of Eagle Point and bought and sold recreational vehicles. The all time high amount of rigs was 24. When the group got down to only a few rigs, it broke away from the Womens Club and invited friends and family outside of Eagle Point to join and continued camping but with COVID, age and complacency, the group hasn’t been as active lately. However, with the recent influx of new EPWC members who have RVs and new rigs members have acquired, it appears the rv group may see new life and become active again. If you are interested in joining this fun band of rv folks, please let Sandi Smith or Aleli Lawson know.
