The New Book Buddies met at the home of Sharyn Close on May 18 to unravel the mystery of what happened to The Amber Room in Steve Barry’s suspenseful novel. We had a great discussion about the attributes of historical fiction as several members are big fans of that genre. It was also fun to hear differing opinions on “which character did you want to slap upside the head and why?” This group doesn’t hold back!!
Our next meeting is scheduled for June 15 at 3:00 pm. at the home of Linda McElmurry. We’ll be traveling to Egypt for a mystery among the pyramids as we read the book Crocodile on the Sand Bank by Elizabeth Peters. If you would like to join us, please contact Denise Fikes.
