Fourteen ladies in the Gardening Group ventured out to Peggy Peffley’s Garden in Jacksonville. We stopped at the park in Jacksonville for a lunch of different salads and then on to Peggy’s. Her home was full of flowers and color, with a beautiful Koi pond in the yard. Peggy likes her backyard to be full of invasive plants and perennials that go to seed. She is not afraid of pulling up the old and in with the new. She had lots of new and unusual varieties that she invited us to share with her in the fall when it is time to split perennials. October is a good time for that. It was a great garden and we thank Peggy for her beautiful tour.
