Although I was not able to attend this outing, the group was in excellent hands with our August 2016 outing planner, Liz Crossman. Below is the report she provided after a fun outing. Thank you to Liz for planning this one and to Barbara Young for providing the great pictures.
On August 2nd, twelve ladies toured the Rogue Community Foundation's Table Rock Campus in White City. An overview of various programs offered on the Campus was provided by our guide, Katy Wicks, an Admission Coach for RCC. Participants learned about the certificate programs that train students for " high demand" family wage employment right here in the Rogue Valley. We then toured the diesel program (did you know you can actually have your vehicle serviced there for the cost of parts) , electronics (robotics, circuitry, way over my head) and the emergency medical facility (they have "dummies" that can simulate medical emergencies) . Everyone learned more about this amazing facility located in our backyard.
Following our tour, we gathered at Kriselle Winery for a lovely lunch on the deck overlooking spectacular vineyards. And, there was a bit of wine sampling!!
