The Knotty Ladies recently took a field trip to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. EPWC’s own Annette Godfrey, a registered nurse who works in that unit, led the tour which included an in-depth look at the amazing equipment used in transporting and caring for these tiny babies. Annette is also licensed as a transport nurse who rides in the helicopter when a baby in trouble needs specialized care that is not available from its own hospital. At the end of the tour the Knotty Ladies donated 29 handmade receiving blankets and one baby quilt. Thank you, Annette, for your service to this community and to the outlying communities who connect to our hospital. It was an inspiring day.
