The Knotty Ladies met at the home of Carol Kuehnert. Randi McDermott has rejoined the fold so we have once again reached our quota. A prospective new member will be invited to sit in whenever we have an opening — most likely in January.
Marcia reviewed the funds we have on hand and it was decided to release some of those funds immediately. The group voted to donate $50 to Eagle Point’s Santa’s Secret Shop and $50 to Access Food Share, Eagle Point branch.
Lynn distributed the holiday gift bags to all who will attend the Christmas lunch. We are to fill our bags with approximately $10 worth of items and bring them to the lunch which will be held on December 5 at 4 Daughters Pub in Medford. Carpool drivers will be Marcia and Meridel. We have reserved the upstairs private room for noon on that day.
Maxine requested assistance at the D-9 Community Scholarship Dessert on November 29. Members can volunteer to decorate a table, bring a dessert, and/or attend the affair which will be held in the Eagle Point High School cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. Contact Maxine if you can participate or make a donation to the scholarship fund.
Meridel shared her newly discovered trick for paper piecing. She will be happy to demonstrate for anyone who missed it or needs a refresher.
Show and tell included an ergonomically designed rotary cutter, a reversible Thanksgiving/Christmas table runner, pot holders, a photo album, and a baby dress.
After a scrumptious dessert, the meeting was adjourned. The Ladies will meet next on December 5 for their Christmas luncheon and then hold their business meeting on January 2 at Lynn’s home. Happy Holidays!
