The Culinary Arts members met at the home of Ruth Jenk’s to take a virtual trip to Scotland. First, we learned about the geography of Scotland, then the social, economic, and political history of the country. Culinary members who have visited Scotland shared their impressions and experiences. We then learned about the variety of foods prepared and, in some cases, the way special foods are used for holidays. Then Ruth, whose father is Scottish, prepared many tasty dishes for us to taste that she remembered eating as a child. This was a very special event that all of us enjoyed. Thanks, Ruth!!
