What a fun day for 10 ladies from the hiking and outings group who toured the Oregon Caves on July 11, 2014!!! Our tour guide, a recent geology graduate, was delightful and very knowledgeable during our 90-minute tour. As we climbed more than 500 stairs in the 41-44 degree temperatures, he answered all of our questions about the formations of stalactites, columns, and stalagmites. We had a delicious lunch at the Chateau Cafe after the tour and burned off a few calories afterwards by hiking a trail through dense mixed forests.
