Although the weather was a bit overcast with some intermittent raindrops eight hikers took on the Rogue River Trail. First hike of the season where we could feel “Fall” in the air. We hiked east under the Lewis Bridge following the trail just above the Rogue River for approximately three miles. We crossed a very scenic bridge with a lovely creek and enjoyed the viewing benches on the trail that overlooked the river. After our hike we stopped in Shady Cove and ate at Max’s Diner at their new location along the river – great atmosphere and the food was good too!
