Carolyn Stieber hosted a group of 11 talented cooks for the April Culinary Group meeting. The cookbook selection for the month was: “A Culinary Journey Through China” authored by celebrity chef, Martin Yan. Select recipes from the book ranging from appetizers to dessert were prepared by the group and enjoyed in staged courses. Each member discussed the dish they prepared with insights on cooking methods and new and unusual ingredients and seasonings. Everyone enjoyed the variety of tastes, smells and colorful appearance of the dishes. The June Culinary Group meeting will be hosted by Janice Kabel and will feature German cuisine.
