Joan Devlin and Janice Kabel hosted the August Culinary Arts gathering at Joan’s home. Each guest prepared and shared an assigned dish from traditional Irish cuisine. Joan shared her amazing photos and stories from a recent visit to Ireland where she and her husband Lew visited with family and saw many sights. Joan even demonstrated a few notes on a traditional Irish drum. Each cook discussed her dish and its ingredients and preparation. The food ranged from pineapple jello to red cabbage with apples to Irish soda bread. A few sips of Guinness Stout beer were also available to sample. Potatoes made an appearance in a few dishes too. A huge thanks to Joan and Janice for the great event.
