A group of ten adventurous ladies came together at the home of Viki Brown on October 12 to spend a few hours making and enjoying condiments and foods to serve them with. Linda Haynsworth-Krueger served as co-hostess. The group was formed into teams of two and each had a work station with ingredients and two recipes to complete. Each participant had been assigned some ingredients and/or a food item to bring to contribute to the lunch. Together we made homemade mayonnaise, caesar salad dressing, cranberry/green apple chutney, lemon curd, sun-dried tomato tapenade, avocado basil cream dip, chimichurri, creme peche, homemade croutons, vinaigrette dressing, crostini, chunky gazpacho and fresh tomato sauce with basil. These were served with pasta, grilled chicken and beef, romaine lettuce salad, fresh vegetable crudites, lemon rosemary scones, fresh blueberries, fresh raspberries, herb and fruit infused water and white wine . Lots of fun, a bit chaotic and some wonderful food to enjoy. Everyone left with some samples and a packet of all the recipes we prepared.
