A crisp winter day welcomed 60 ladies to the festively-decorated Rogue Valley Country Club for our annual holiday luncheon. Lots of red sweaters and other festive attire brightened up the room as we socialized and conducted the usual business meeting. The entertainment for the day was provided by The Rogue Valley Harmonizers, four outstanding male vocalists, who performed traditional and contemporary Christmas numbers and some other classic tunes in traditional barbershop quartet harmony. They also demonstrated how four voices, each singing a unique part, combine to create beautiful harmonies. It was a joyful and enjoyable program. Lunch of chicken chaucer, garlic mashed potatoes, salad bar, fresh fruit, roasted brussels sprouts and crusty rolls was both ample and delicious. A slice of cheesecake with fruit topping completed the meal. Lots of warmth and Christmas spirit filled the room. The next luncheon is scheduled for Feb. 21, 2018.
