12 brave women gathered at the home of Viki Brown on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 to prepare ingredients for and construct three types of sushi rolls (all cooked seafood, meat), two side dishes, three dipping sauces and green tea ice cream and fresh oranges in plum wine for dessert. Two types of Japanese tea made interesting beverages too. Betsy served as co-hostess and provided the technical expertise on sushi making and a handout on the history of sushi. An ambitious undertaking for sure, but good fun and learning for all of us. We now know what inside out rolls are and how to slice a cucumber baton. Each guest made a sushi roll and then they were all sliced and shared with the group. Another successful event and thanks to all for your contributions.
