67 ladies, including 5 new members, gathered at the Rogue Valley Country Club for a fascinating program presented by Eagle Point Mayor, Bob Russell. Members who attended the luncheon brought antique or collectible from their homes and Bob evaluated and talked about each one. He gave an estimate of the value of each item and shared interesting information about modern day antique collecting and selling. From a miners lamp to an elegant Italian vase, each of the items had its own story. We are very grateful for the time and expertise that Mayor Russell shared with us. Information on the upcoming Club picnic (July 8) and the Club Christmas party (Dec. 1) were shared and everyone encouraged to attend. The Kazoo band is looking for members to march in the July 4 parade with a new repertoire of musical hits. Maxine shared chocolates and a heartfelt thank you from one of the families who received gifts for their children through the Secret Santa effort. Lunch was beautiful and tasty and ended with trifle with fresh berries.
