A lively group of 8 members carpooled to Medford for a enjoyable lunch at the new Cracker Barrel restaurant. The "front porch" is filled with the trademark wooden rocking chairs and the huge gift shop sells some food products and lots of other interesting items. The interior is welcoming and comfortable and the menu pretty extensive. The breakfast menu is served all day and many of the group members took advantage of that. A few people tried some signature Southern dishes like"catfish and greens" and others tried the daily special. A different lunch special is offered each day for $5.99 and a dinner special for $7.99. Fine dining it is not, but a decent meal at a modest price it is. Thanks to Betsy Hase for organizing.
