About 70 women gathered at the Rogue Valley Country Club on a beautiful summer day for the June luncheon. We celebrated the beginning of the 15th year of founding of then Eagle Point Women's Club with some delicious and beautiful birthday cake. A few of the original members were present at the luncheon. The tables wee decorated with vintage books and beautiful wildflowers compliments of the creative Annette Godfrey. Sharyn recognized the 2017-2019 Board for their service with a canning jar planter and well-deserved thanks. All the existing board members will be serving another two year term. Board reports were completed, announcements made and birthdays recognized. We had 4 guests attend the luncheon and all of them have now become members (Marie Kane, Paula Byrd, Christiane Thaxton,Dianne Cavallo). Our program was presented by the emergency preparedness coordinator for the Southern Oregon Red Cross Chapter and featured valuable information for preparing yourself, your home and your family to deal with an unexpected emergency (wildfire, flood, earthquake,etc.). Printed materials were distributed to guide us in following up with the preparation steps we need to take at home. Excellent information and pertinent to all of us. A delicious buffet lunch and a piece of birthday cake completed the enjoyable event. Thanks to all who attended.
