The Knotty Ladies met at Lydia Davidson's home on July 6, 2022 at 1:00 pm for their regular meeting. Four ladies attended: Lydia Davidson, Dora Moore, Bonnie Scriba and Debbie Hart. It was good to see everybody and their new projects. Lydia completed a beautiful American Flag Quilt. She placed the names of the 50 states where the 50 stars would appear on a regular flag. Bonnie is working on a gorgeous Pinwheel quilt that she will donate and made a beautiful Stars and Stripes hanging. Dora completed 2 very cute wall hangings that will go in the Mountain Stars Quilt Show at the Medford Armory on July 22-23 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Debbie is working on a quilt to donate to the Quilts of Valor.
We all got caught up on what we are working on and plan to meet on Aug. 3rd at Dora's home. The group will be working on a quilt for donation. Where it will be donated has not been determined. We have some sad news to share: Our chairperson of many years, Helen Hensley, has withdrawn from being the group chair and left the EPWC. She is very busy right now with her own life. Another longtime member, Maxine Williams, has left Eagle Point and moved to Arizona. Both ladies will be missed very much. Their contributions are too many to list and so appreciated. Debbie Hart has volunteered to serve as the new Chairperson for the Knotty Ladies. We are all staying safe and well and hope you are doing the same. See everyone later.
