A hearty group of 5 EPWC members traveled to the trailhead of the Elk Creek Trail for a 7.5 mile walk on the paved trail. We chose the destination to avoid snow, ice and mud and to take in the solitude and beauty. The trail follows along Elk Creek with some beautiful mountains rising above the creek. Skies were bright blue and temps in the 30's, so we dressed warmly and kept moving. We took a short lunch break on some rocks alongside the trail and all enjoyed some good conversation. Viki Brow was hike leader and Gerene Leffingwell, Lori Miles, Marsha Long and Trudi Eyraud made up the rest of the group. Thanks to everyone for participating.
