8 EPWC hikers headed to the Applegate Valley for a “top of the morning” hike on the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail. We encountered some snow on the road to the trailhead, so parked in a dry spot and walked the remaining distance. There was a little snow on the trail, but we all enjoyed the solid, level trail in a beautiful forest. Our lunch break took advantage of the welcome sunshine and some good conversation filled the return trip. The group sends a warm welcome to three new hikers who joined us for the first time- Sandee Tripp, Cynthia Sottano and Susan Deatherage. We look forward to seeing you back again. Thanks to Lori Miles and Susan Deatherage for the photos.
