12 members gathered at the home of Gerene Leffingwell to enjoy a menu of “Soups and Sides From Around the World”. Sharyn Close served as co-host and together they created an enjoyable culinary event. Sharyn and Gerene selected the recipes from a variety of sources and each guest prepared an assigned dish. Some of the more exotic dishes were: Indian Spiced Red Lentil Soup with Chicken, Beef Pho and Curried Butternut Squash Soup with Coconut Milk. The hosts provided some spirited beverages and rolls to complete the menu. It was impossible to turn down a slice of pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust even after enjoying the many other great dishes. The group also did some planning for lunch gatherings for 2024. Lots of great themes coming next year. Thanks again to the hosts and cooks.
