Twelve of us welcomed Spring by hiking 5.5 miles at Applegate Lake on Friday, March 20. We started at Dagelma Trailhead, connected with a long section of the Payette Trail along the lake, and finally climbed Osprey Trail to complete the loop. We enjoyed a variety of wildflowers, forests of madrone, manzanita, Douglas fir, and pine, and views of the lake and mountains.
